RIVER BANK CONCERT TO-NIGHT.
Given favourable weather, the concert to be given to-night on the river bank opposite the Y.M.C.A. should prove a great attraction to the thousands of holiday-makers in the city. Those who were present at the first concert given on this spot on Tuesday night were charmed with the fairyland effect produced by the myriads of electric lights and Chinese lanterns, and the reflection in the river was greatly admired. To-night the Woolston Band, famous throughout New Zealand for the excellence of their performances, will put on a first-class programme. In case of bad weather the concert will be 1 given to-morrow. A collection will be taken up for the River Improvement Unemployed Fund.
