SOUTH CANTERBURY.
£ERALDINE. A clause in the report of the Manual and Training Committee, presented by the Canter(jurJ Education Board yesterday, referred ,to Geraldine as follows: —"As there is urgent necessity that something will have to be done shortly to make provision for accommodating the increasing numbers at the District High School and Manutil Classes at this centre, Mr Hughes and the supervisor be asked to draw up a report dealing with the question to be submitted at the next meeting of the Board. Agreed that the chimney of the woodwork room shou'd be repaired; that the north wall be braced to make it more solid, and 1 that three windows be placed in it to make better provision for conducting the classes in! drawing."
