DEATH OF EX-DETECTIVE-SERGEANT H. G. HUNT.
Ex-Detective-Sergeant Henry George Hunt, who died in Christchurca on Thursday last was born at Waimate, South Canterbury. He joined the police force on August 11th, 1891, and was stationed at JLmnedin, and later at Oamaru as a mounted constable. Be was promoted to the rank of detective on June Ist, 1907, and was stationed at Dunedin and, Christchurch. He gamed the rank of Detective-Ser-geant on March Ist 1913, and retired medically unfit m 1917. Ex-Detective-Sergeant Hunt leaves a widow and grown-up family.
