CASUALTIES.
At tho inquest held at Ashburton yesterday before Mr J. Cow, District tJoroner, on the four months' old child of Mr A. A. Fooks, a verdict was returned that death was due to suffocation caused by a cat lying across the face of the sleeping child in a perambulator, the child having been left only a short time. George Wilson, who lives at 55 Sherbourne street, was admitted to the hospital early yesterday afternoon, suffering from a fracture of his right leg, caused through his falling from a bicycle at the intersection of Manchester and Peterborough streets.
