NEGOTIATIONS IN PARIS. GERMANY'S PROPOSALS. (By Cablo—Press Association—Copyright.) (Australian and N.2. Cablo Association.) (Received May 21st, 31.5 p.m.) PARIS, May 21. Official conversations between tho Reparations Commission and Hori* Hermes, German Minister of Finance,, are proceeding regarding tho payments due on May Slst. Tho "Temps" states that Germany proposes an agreement with the Commission on tho manner of balancing tho German Budgot and stopping currency inflation by paper money. Germany rejects Allied financial control, but accepts as an extraordinary measure the checking of accounts by tho Commission. , The German proposals are subject to receiving an international loan. Tho negotiations are to continue while the international bankers consider the loan.
THE INTERNATIONAL LOAN. (.Received Mnv Slst, 11.5 p.m.) LONDON, May 20. A number of American bankers, including Mr Pierpont Morgan, Mr G£to Kahn, Mr C. H. Billings, ar.d Mr Oliver Jeslin, have arrived. Mr Morgan is going to Paris to confer with bankers there in reference to the proposed international loan of £200,000,000 for Germany.
