Mr Baume was a student at Waitaki. Boys' High School when he competed. Mr E. W. Cave, Clerk of the Court at Palmerston North, has been appointed to fill the vacancy at Christchurch caused bv the retirement on superannuation of 3\tr W A. D. Banks. Mr G. H. Lang, who has been acting clerk of the Court at-Dunedin, has been appointed clerk of the court at Palmerston North. Mr Michael Foley, clerk of the Court at Napier, will succeed Mr Lang in Dunedin.
