The enterprising American who came over here and sol.l off copies of tlio ''Eneyclopa;ciia Britanliiea.'' i>au!: "\ou could nell tho British public uO-yoart-old Bradshuws if you advertised them sufficiently. 1 ' IJo might have exaggerated, but thero was m>"doubt that a great deal more in the way of selling things could be done if people would expend more money on advertising.
