AUTUMN FLOWER SHOW.

WOOLSTON SOCIETY'S DISPLAY,

The Wocilston Horticultural Society held its autumn show in the Oddfellows' Hall, Wools ton, yesterday. The chrysanthemums made a very fine display, and equalled the best seen in Canterbury lor some years. Mr E. E. Drewitt, of Mona Vale, stag'-d some excellent blooms and pot plants. An interesting exhibition of local manufactures was made by the iN'cw Zealand Glue Co., the Woolston Tanneries, and the Gerstena iood Manufacturing Co. The fruit, and especially the bturmer apples, attracted largo entries, and were of quality. Messrs Thome Bros, stayed a line exhibition of thirty varieties of app.es and peara. An exhibit of purppkins waa made by Mr McGregor B. Wright, aid Mr F. Adair showed some hothouse grapes. 'J he judges for tho various sections were.—l'ruit, Mr ti. ,1. Ffitch; vegetables, Mr A.
