Tho conference on the proposed reduction in wages held recently and the decisions arrived at will be placed before a :nicetii}g of the Amalgamated Engineers'' Association on Saturday. ' The • filing' was expressed at the Trades' Hall that a strong effort should bo made by all unionists to combat any reduction,-
ELECTRICAL TRADES STRIKE,
MELBOURNE, May 10. The Secretary of the Electrical Trades Union has informed the Federal Industrial Registrar that the Union officials arc against auv extension of tiie strike. ' A meeting of the Industrial Disputes Council at th© Trades 'Hall endorsed this view. This will be reported to a mass meeting of electricians who control the city's supply of electricity.
