"THE KID."

Jackie Coogan, tho seven-years-old comedian who played the title role in Charlie* Chaplin's film "The Kid," will pay a visit to England shortly. He will be accompanied by hi 3 father, his director, and the necessary equipment for making a picture, the scene- of whioh will bo laid in France and England. He will make a tour of the British Isles, appearing at kinemas in large cities. The "infant comedian" will afterwards travel through Belgium, Germany, Italy, and Switzerland. He has also planned to visit the farmer home of his parents in Ireland.

NATIVES' PILM EDUCATION.

The kinema is being- largely used by the French in the distant provinces of Indochina for the education of the native inhabitants- The Governor-General has arranged a aeries of kinoma missions, which travel, from village fB village with » portable installation. The screen is set up in the Tillage clearing, and at night the alms depicting French activity, pictorial xecoxde of the FrerJcb. Air and Navy, and French porta, with the bustle of trade from French Eastern colonies, are thrown on it, while one or two crudely comic films are also included.
