A man named Meikle, against whom his wife-is petitioning for ,a divortie, is in reality Sir Hector Douglas Mackenzie Meikle, baronet, who,. working as a gardener, even after he succeeded to the title, in 1916, continued cycle to Ins work daily, apparently mora, concerned with, ilia flowers than with his new honour. In her petition, Lady Meikle said she purchased thfeir home with, money )saved from her wages as a charwoman, which occupation she took up (foortly after her marriage in 1916 and hfid continued to follow ever since. . *
