BIBLE CLASS CAMPS.

The campers mostly took possession of their' quartos on Thursday evening after the arrival of the evening trains, and were not long in adjusting themselves to their surroundings. Yesterday morning they attended the Presbyterian Sunday School Teachers' Conference service in Knox Church, and were welcomed to the town by the Rev. W. H. Howes, who conducted the service. The afternoon was devoted to study circles, and in the evening a service was held in the Church, at which the address was given by Sister Agnes. Today's programme includes a picnic at the Waikuku Beach, if the weather is favourable, and a camp concert in the hall in the evening. To-morrow the services at Knox Church will be attended, and in the afternoon .a Bible class for all the members will be held. Monday will be visitors' day, when a number of friends are expected from Christ, church. The morning will be occupied with study circles, -and the afternoon with recreation in the form of basket-ball and tennis, matches, and! various other games. In the evening Miss Dewar is to give an address, and thei camp will break up on Tuesday morning. Besides the speakers already named, Miss C. D. Wilson and Miss Batchelor will give addressee during the camp.

METHODIST. The annual Easter Camp of the Canterbury Methodist Young- Men's Bible Class Union is being held in the Kaiapoi Domain, over 200 members going into camp on Thursday evening. The camp captain Is. the Rev. E. B. Tinsley. Mr E. Smith i# secretary, and Mr lUayfleld is in charge of the commissariat. The camp comprises nine' large sleeping tents, a Y.M.C.A. tent, a canteen, and a large marquee for meals. Yesterday morning a prepared speech contest was held, ' followed by a Good Friday service, conducted by the Rev. W. 'Walker. In the afternoon about 100 of the campers toolc advantage of the motor launch, trip to Kairaki, and in the evening the campers were the' guests: of ■ the lady members of the Kaiapoi Methodist Church at tea in the schoolroom. A service was later held in the church, the preacher being the Rev. J. Napier Milne. To-day is visitors' day, and a lengthy sports programme, has Been arranged. . In the evening; a concert will be held in the camp.
