The large audienco which attended tbe Theatre Eoyal last, night gave proof- oi! the popularity of the Marie Teiapest-Gmham Browne Company, which presented the 'second performance of Eoi Cooper McGrue'3 delightf'il and clever comedy, "Tea for Three." Miss Tempest, as the wife, Mr ham Browne, as the friend,. and Mr Asihton Garry, as the husband, splendidly interpreted their respective parts, and the play was followed with the closest attention tkroughoiit. Somerset Maughwn'a brilliantly constructed domestic comedy "Penelope." Miss Tempest and Mr Browne originally presented this work at tho Comedy Theatre, Xiondon, where it ran for nearly two years, an almost unprecedented' run" before the great war, and it was played by the distinguished partners for a fow nights on their initial visit to Christchurch about four years ago.
