OBITUARY.
The deatli is announced; of Mr Thomas "W. Orr, & well-known resident of Blenheim. He was for 14 years manager of the Blenheim branch of the Union S.S. Co. The death occurred suddenly at his residence, 'Khandallah, Wellington, early-'on Monday morning of Mr William Roden Plimmer, only son of Mr John A. Plimmer. The lateMr Plim, mer, who was in his forty-ninth year, was born in Wellington, and was educated at the Terrace School and Wellington College. Later he qualified as an accountant, and had acted in that capacity in the estate of J. A. and O. Phramer. He was an esteemed member of the Khandallali Bowling Club and the' Wellington Savage Club. Mr Plimmer leaves a widow and two sonsMr John Plimmer, who is completing his course as a medical student at Otago University, afld Mr William Plimmer, who ia -on the Wellington staff of Messrs Dalgety and Co. the death took place at Wellington Hospital yesterday morning of Mr Henry John Pavitc. a well-known resident of. Greymouth, aged 59 years. The late Mr Pavitt left Greymouth to receive medical advice in December, 192(h On arrival at Wellington he entered the hospital, and* had been an inmate for about 16 months. Mr Pavitt and his father (the late Mr Thomas Pavitt) wefe contractors for the Midland Railway in the early days. They were also among the first exporters of timber from the West Coast, about 1883. The late Mr H. .J. Pavitt wan well known in rowing circles, and was one-of thfr first *° engage in deep-sea. fishing at Greymouth. Hia irffe prehuia some years ago, and ho. leaves a son, aged IS years.
