MONTHLY MEETING. j .The Christchurch Fir© Board met lest night. Present: . Messrs A: Williams (chairman), H. Holland, A. Man.njng, F. Burgoyne, P. H. Hams, and' hT'R. Rusbridge. An apology was niade for the absence of Mr J. RCameron.' The Superintendent (Mr O. C Warner) reported that since the previous njeeting the number 'of calls received Was 14. Of these, 10 were malicious false alarms, two chimney-fires and two vere 'factual fires. The estimated total fire loss for the period was £l4B. ■The insurance on buildings and contents 'was £1950, and the estimated values', of , property actually £*** £2500. Firemen Turner and Moore resumed to go to Australia, and two men *e£Ttaken on to fill their positions.
