THE STAPLE TROPICAL CROP,
A FIELD FOR INVESTMENT.
Lord Leverhulme (ot Sunlight fame) once said:—"l know of no field of tropical agriculture that is so promising tit the present moment as cocoanut planting, and I do not think in the whole world there is a promise of so lucrative an investment of time and money as in this industry." During this year and next Geveral hundred additional acres of cocoanut trees on the plantation of the Papuan Products Co., Ltd., will be coming into bearing, thus considerably augmenting the present output ot a commodity which is in world-wide demand for soapmaking, the manufacture of margarine, and the production of copra cake for cattle. Within the next two years a sufficient number of the company's trees will have matured to place the plantations on a self-supporting basis from copra "alone. additional capital is required to carry on. Applications are invited for this unallotted balance of £2OOO worth of debentures, bearing interest at the rate of 10 per cent, per annum, free of income tax.
