Smith, to all who had helped the club during the past year with conveyances, and to tile ladies for supplying afternoon tea at the home matches. A smoke concert was then held. KAIAPOI CLUB. The annual meeting of the Kaiapoi Rugby Football Club was held on Thursday, Mr J. H. B'ackwell oveT an attendance of between 30 and 40 members. A satisfactory balance-sheet was read and adopted. The third annual meeting of tho Kaiapoi Rugby League Football Club was held on Thursday, Mr T; J.' C. Robson presiding ' over an attendance of 38 members. The chairman, reporting on the progross of the club, said that both teams last season had been runners-up in their competitions, and he hoped this year they would prove the winners. He tendered the thanks of the club to all those who had helped to make {lie past, season so successful. A satisfactory balance-sheet was submitted and adopted.
