ROYAL CHRISTCHURCH MUSICAL SOCIETY.
The first meeting of the new executive of the Boyal Ohristchurch Musical Society was held in Mr T. "Whittingham'e office yesterday, Mr B. B. Owen presiding-. There were also present Madame Gower-Burns, Miss Freeman. Brown, Misers Roberts, Schmidt, Hutton, and Andrews. ' - Mr H. T. Whittingham was. appointed secretary for the year. The fjret rehearsal for the orchestra was fixed for Monday next, end for the chorus on Tuesday, j The appointment of a conductor was held over until next committee meeting; a. week hence. Mr Sydney Sutler was asked to take the first_ rehearsals.' Mr Owen undertook to continue the directorship uyiti!: his successor was appointed.
