TO-MOEROW'S BIG EVENT.

The final arrangements are now well in hand for the holding of the Garden Fete, under the auspices of the ChiisteTiurch Domains Board, in the Botanic Gardens tomorrow afternoon. There willjbe no dearth of attractions, among them bring classic and tenoy dancing by .Miss Mac Donald's pupils, folk dancing and physical drill by the pupils of the Somerfield School, Highland dancing -by a quartet from the Caledonian, Society, and Maypole dancing by* the "tiny tots from the FhiUipstown Kindergarten. These will be performed on the platform erected on the 'lake in the children's playground. A fine programme of rausio will be played by the Woolston Band on the mound near the fountain, and it ie probable that . a troupe of Pierrots will perform in the big French Military Hospital tent which will be erected on the archery lawn. - ■ Over 100 members of the Ha-gley Golf Club will assist at the tea and ice-cream tents. ~ The tea tent, which la claimed to: i bo the largest in the Dominion, will acconi- I modafe 100(> people. The object of the fete is to provide funds for considerablyi improving the children's; playground in the Gardens.
