VETERANS v. RAKAIA. A very enjoyable cricket match was played on the Rakaia Domain, on Tuesday between teams from the Veterans' Club, of Christchurch, and the Rakaia Club. The gamo resulted in a' win for the visitors bv 115 runs. Only one innings a-side was played. The following are the scores:— Veterans' Club—Audibert 104 (retired), Fox 72, Harris 2, Lawrence 0, Mansell 20, Rattray 6, Frampton 5, Brooks 28, Prebble 3, Fleming 0 (not out), Hubbard 5, Britten 0, extras 4; total 249. Rakaia Club—Wright 13, D. McLennan 33, W. McLennan 40, Baker 20, Baynes 4, Stayt 0, H. Cromie 10, Skevington 0, Smart 5, Penny 0, Henderson 7, Donkin 2 not out), extras 3; total 134.
