NOVEL TRAFFIC CONTROL.

]W York's Fifth Avenue carries probably more vehicular traffic than any other thoroughfare in the world, and it has been found, that the ordinal method of control, at intersections by policemen was insufficient. An experiment is now being made with a system of signals displayed from towers at the various intersections, to which both vehicular and pedestrian traffic must be obedient. The same signal is given simultaneously at each crossing.
