The results of the New Brighton Carnival Ast Union ere advertised in this issue. Tho opening meeting of ths Canterbury Philosophical Institute will be held in the Canterbury College at 8 o'clock to-night. An of the Government experimental plots at Templeton, Bankside, and other places- is to be made by tha Fields Committee of the I/ucerno Campaign Committee •to-morrow-. These desirous of accompanying the party are asked to provide their own cars. Departure will ha taken from 183 Cflehsl street at 9 a-m. A meeting of ex-Imperial soldiers will ha hold in the JelUcoa HeJl to-morrow st 8 p.m.
