ANNUAL MEETING. Tho fortieth annua! meeting of the Canterbury Calsdaman, Society wis held last night, Mr C. S. Mr Thomas reported that they had'been unable to get on. with tho Society's now building yet, but a plan had been agreed upon. The Scc«ety'e functions would, in the meantime, be held m the Art Gallery. Ths proposed new hall would eeat about (000 persons, and there, would bo a dining hall at: the rear. The ball would probably not be available ibie season, as the Soeiety was waiting until April, when the building price would meat likely fall.
