Mr Frostiek, who was also a delegate to the conference, reported on the business done at the meeting in Wellington. He had found, that all the delegates had sunk individual interests m their endeavours to benefit the whole organisation. In the Hon. Dovraie Stewart and Mr Montgomery they had two very sound- New Zealanders who would conduct negotiations in regard to. the reciprocal tariff, with Australia in tke interests of the whole' of the Dominion. They had no doubt as to the ability of those two gentlemen to represent the interests of New Zealand, and the conference had recommended that a representative of the Industries and Commerce should accompany Mr Stewart and Mr Montgomery to Australia. In the speaker's opinion some of the brainiest men in the country were in the employ of the Department, and it would be the industrialists' own fault if they did not obtain the services of those men, for the Government : only needed pushing to grant the request. Tne president stated that the Cor. poration executive would be located in Christchurch for the ensuing year, and it would;be necessary to decide upon the personal of the executive. Messrs Holland.
