FALSE DECLARATION BY PENSIONER.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGKAJM.) WAIPAWA, September 9. In a case against an old ago pensioner of making a false declaration the Registrar of Pensions said that cases of this kind were occurring all over the country, and the department had resolved that they must be checked. Applicants for certificates must make a truo statement of their position. _ The Magistrate, in recording a conviction, said ho would not hesitate to impose imprisonment in similar cases in future.
