In this connexion very important investigations conducted by the BioChemical Laboratory of the University of Cambridge to determine whether the various vitamines, which the report by the Medical Research Cpmmittee on Accessory Food Factow had shown to be present in the articles from which Virol is prepared, were present also in the preparation as sold to the public. The results of these experiments, the report of which was issued in October last, show definitely that the vitamines which are known to be essential to th« well-being of man and animals, and which are also considered to play an important part in the maintenance of resistance to certain infectious diseas-vj and in freedom from rickets, are present in Virol as. manufactured and sold to the public.
