They had to thank the St. Patrick'* Association for reviving athletics in Chrietchurch, and it was to be hoped that that body's effort* would be crowned with success. The fil'im* of the Centre were mw satisfactory. Tha only other remark ho had to make was that the New Zealand Athlrtio and Cycling Union •earned to'bo practically dead, and he thought that a new executive- for that body should be appointed. ' Mr W. J. Walter seconded tha motion for the adoption of the report and balancesheet, and commended the chairman for the enthusiasm he had thrown into the work last year.
The motion m adopted.' The annual Dominion conference of the "Onion is to be hold at Dtinedin on September 14th. Mr G. GeUon eaid that the application for the championship! being conducted «t the St. Patrick'* Association rusttins nest year should be urged at the confer* ence. Mr Waltor, who will attend the con* ference as a delegate, faid he would do hit test to bring the championships to Cbriatchurch.
