MR & J. OTLEY APPOINTED,

At tho meeting of tha CSty CbUricil last flight the secretary of the Hospital Board stated that owing to tho death of the Jato Mr T. D k Boag, e Vacancy occurred in the representation of Ohrlsfcchuroh City on the Board, and the duty of.filling suoh vacancy downed on the Council. li was stated that one of the former members, Mr H. J* Otley, #as the highest unsuccessful candidate at the recent election, his rotes being seven snort of those polled by the iMt candidate to be elected* Cr. Flesher moved that Mr Otley be "re-elected. Cr. Hervey seconded the nomination. Cr. Atchc* urged that some suitable woman should bo appointed. The Mayor: Thaw is one just beside you. Cr. Archer: Cr.
