" THE SPRINGBOKS. SECOND TEST TEAM. There were two slight errors in the names published yesterday of the teams selected for the second test match against South Africa at Auckland on Saturday week, and tho test match against New South Wales at Christchurch on September 9rd. The name of "Beat," of Southland, should not have appeared In the last-mentioned team, thfte being no such player, while in the second South African test match team, "Sellars," of Auokland, also should not have appeared. The mistakes arose through the difficulty of hearing accurately on the long-distance telephone, the teams having been rung through by a "Press" representative from Dunedin, "The Press," by these means, being the only newspaper in the Dominion to publish the teams yesterday morning. Bellia, the fine Wangauui forward, severely sprained his ankle when playing against the South Africans on Saturday, and went through the.greater part of the game in that condition. Though he himself is hopeful, it is not too likely that he will have entirely recovered for the second test. McLean (Bay of Plentv), whom many competent critics regard as the finest forward in the Dominion, is making a slow recovery with the injured knee which kept him out of last Saturday's, game. If it mends in time for the second feet, he. will hi a distinct acquisition to the New Zealand pack. Storey, the All .Blacks' left wing threequarter, received a very sever© bump on the shoulder on Saturday, and was consequently handicapped for the. remainder of the game, which made his try all the more meritorious. He is, however, rapidly regaining the use of the arm. SATURDAY'S TEST MATCH. (SPECIAL TO " T nE TRESS.'-') DUNEDIN, Augnst IS. Mr D. M.
