SUPREME COURT, IX CHAMBERS. Sitting in Chambers on Friday, Mr Justice Herdman granted probate in the estates of Kato Rose Ann Redpath. (Mr A. J. Malley) ond the lato Eleanor Ann Pemberton (Mr W. H. Walton). MAGISTERIAL. SATURDAY. (Before Mr Wyvern 'Wilson, S.M.) DRUNKENNESS. One first offender was fined 5a and another' 10s. Greorgo Wright was sentenced to st.ven daj-s' imprisonment for drunkenness, and was fined! ■£% for a breach of his prohibition order. ASSAULT. David William Patterson, charged vith having assaulted a man at A Idington racecourse and with having xued abusive language, pleaded guilty, and said that he did not remember the occurrence as he had been drinking heavily. On the charge of assault he was fined ±2, in default three days' imprisonmenit, and for having used- abusive language he was fined £5, in default 11 days' imprisonment. REMANDEP. Henry Te Aro Jacob, who had' been arrested at laihape, was remanded for a we«k or. a charge of failing to comply with a maintenance order in r'eepect of his wife anil children. Bail was allowed, self in £2OO and two sureties of JBIOO each. IN OTHER PLACES. INDECENT ASSAULT. (PBXSS ASSOCIATION TELEGBAM.) WELLINGTON, August 13. At the Supreme Court, Thomas William, Steel, who was found guilty yesterday of indecent assault on a little girl, was to-day sentenced to twelve months' imprisonment.
