IRISH PROBLEM.
THE PEACE PROPOSALS. REPORTED BRITISH TEBM& (By CaMft—Preas Ataodatton—Qop.yrdgih't.) (Reuter • •i'eiegrams.j Received August 10th, 7.35 p.m.) LONDON, August 10. It is reliably reported from Dublin that the terms Mr Lloyd George offered to Mr de Valera include complete control by Ireland of policing and Irish taxation, defence to be controlled by the United Kingdom, subject to a mutual understanding thafr the Northern and Southern Parliaments, with an offer of special facilities for recruitment for Irish regiments in the Imperial Army.
It is believed also that the proposals include one that Ireland shall bear a proportionate share of the pensions granted in respect of the Great War.
