OXTOED TRIALS.
.The Oxford Ploughing Match and Do* Trials Club held its sixth annual competitions on Thursday under favourable conditions. The field chosen for the ploughing was lent by Messrs Addington Bros., ana though somewhat uneven in ono P" n !~ rather wet in another, was a good field tor the trials. There was competition in mov* classes, and the work done in all respects was of a high standard. There was no poor work, and some was excellent. Some fine teams were vorked, and would be hard to beat in th» province: Rain fell during the previous "night, making the surface ft trifle- sloppy, but as the da 7 was fine tne moisture soon disappeared.
