DOMINION CONFERENCE. (FEES 9 ASSOCIATION TELEQBAU.) ! .'. D.UNEDIN, June 11. The Dominion Conference of the R.S.A. resolved that the incoming executive be instructed to'intimate to the Government keen disappointment that by the Anzac Day Act April 25th was declared a statutory holiday, without at the same time making it a clpso holiday; further, thub the executive be instructed to taKe the necessary steps to secure an amendment of tne Act in this direction. Another congratulated the Returned Soldiers' and Sailors' Imperial League of Australia 'on the determined stand taken against disloyalists. Conference discussed pensions, and resolved that a pensions schedule covering specific injuries should be regraded because of anomalies, and that the Government should be urged to set up a, "board of medical experts for regrading. In view of the financial situation conference decided not to for a 75 per cent, increase in all pensions, confining such application to the case of pensioners drawing amounts over the 150 per cent, maximum. It also aakecr' that all temporary, pensioners should be forthwith re-examined and re-classified. It was resolved also that the principle which should govern pensions is a sliding 'scale determined by the statistician's indexes of the cost of livintr, £3 10s beinr; a fair maximum for 1921. In relation to Mr Harper's representation of the Association on tha Pensions Board a resolution was unanimoiisly carried: "That this conference, having heard a confidential statement of its representative on the Pensions Board, and being fully satisfied, congratulates hira on his excellent work for returned soldiers and their dependants."
