Chatham, accompanied by members ot the Canterbury Football Association, were entertained by members of the Harbour Lights Club to :i dinner, followed by a dance, hold in St. Lukes schoolroom on Saturday evening, the hall being kindly lent for the occasion. A sumptuous repast of cold meat, pickles, hot potatoes, scones, bread and butter, apple-pie and cuttard, anu fresh fruit was immensely enjoyed by the men. The tables were then cleared, and the H.M.S. Chatham concert party, accompanied by Miss Borne, gave a very creditable performance. Dancing continued till 11 p.m., supper being handed immd at 10 p.m. There was also a plentiful supply of cigarette* for the men. Mis 3 Dougherty supplied the music for the danoe, the olMperones being Ladv Denniston, Mrs Stonyer, and Mrs Holmes.
