SHIPPING NOTES. The Maori arrived at Lyttelton at 6.4'5 a.m. veßterday, after a passage from Wellington. llio Wakatu was an early arrival yesterday morning. She is to sail this afternoon, for Kaikoura and Wellington. *■ The John was expected to arrive at Lyttelton last night from Nydia. Bay with timber. She is to sail on Saturday for Oamaru to load for the North. „ The Opihi arrived in the stream late yoaterday afternoon, and after being granted pratique berthed in the evening. She bring* a full cargo of hardwood for the Lyttelton Harbour Board, and on completion of discharge' is to sail, about Tuesday next, for Auckland. It is doubtful if the Trevose will get away for Newcastle to-day, aa intended. The Kokiri is duo here on Tuesday from Timaru to load* for Napier and Gisborne. The Orepuki is due hero to-morrow with a full cargo of timber from Greymouth. She will sail on. the return irip on Tuesday. The Pukaki sailed last night for Newcastle. where she will again load for a New Zealand port. The Corinna is expected here on Tuesday from tho South. She will load for *"cleoii and New Plymouth; The Storm arrived here yesterday morning from Timaru, and is to Bail at noon today for Wanganui direct. Mr T.
