It is learned that before the Statei Department is able to recognise, the Greek Government the United States desires to know exactly what is Constantine's status. _ American recognition at the present time would be extremely embarrassing to the Allies, sine© there are credits oF 33,000,000 dollars in the United States Treasury, upon which Greece oquld draw if the Government recognised Constantino.
