TURKISH DESIRES. (By Cable —Prc33 Association—Copyright.) (Australian and N. 7 Cable Association.) | CONSTANTINOPLE, December 12. | Abdul Medjid Effendi, heir to the Turkish throne, interviewed by a.; French journalist, stated that peace in Asia Minor would be unobtainable until the Sevres Treaty was modified. It was a very fragilo treaty. Turkey might have been in Eastern Europe what Poland was in Central Europe—a bar- ' rier against Bolshevism. The close relations -between the Kemalists and tho Bolsheviks was merely provisional. While the Bolsheviks were out for the world's destruction, the Kemalists . sought only the destruction of Uhe Sevres Treaty, and would cease their connexion with the Bolsheviks when they hafT obtained satisfaction.
