A young man named Hsxry Calder ! had(.his leg fractured by being thrown ' froni a buck-jumper at a circus performance at Lyttelton last night. lie . was taken to the Casualty Ward, whero he was attended by »r. Gi'.mour, and later sent t-o the Christchurch Hospital. ( PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) OAMAftU, November 8. The death occurred to-day, on a train, under somewhat tragic circumstances, or Morgan Thos. Brown, aged 39, a railway employee, of Oamaru, and a returned soldier. Deceased, accompanied by his brother-in-law, was bringing the body of his mother, who had died in Timaru, to Oamaru for burial.
