Arooupst these were the Canadian hurdler, Earl Thompson, E D. Mountain, and tho Now Zealand sprinter, G. J>avidson. Davidson ran iu the 100 Xavaa Handicap, receiving half yard from tho scratch man, W. A. Hill, of the Surrey Club. The race •was won by a competitor who received oi yards handicap, tiiuo 9 4-ssoc. Davidson camo in third, about l* yards behind wo wirncr. In the 100 Yards Invitation Davidson again started oIT- the hair-yard mark. Ho put, on a very strong finishing npurt, and won by half a. yard. Tho result .was as follows:--Davidson (Now Zealand), 4yd, 1: K Mav.'by (Surrev A.C.), ivd, 2; 11. M. Dceley (t'inclicy H.),' iyj. :i; W. A. Hill (Surrey A.C.), ser, -1; A. O. K. Smith (Surrey A.C.I, iUyds, 5. Time 10se<-. During tho week, Davidson also took part) in a jijce'.in;? of the Surrey Club, of which ho i 3 an honorary member. 110 was ono of a relay team which easily eecurcd a vicUry. Another meeting' held on Saturday of last v.oik, w.ia thnc of the- Molinari Athletic Club, v.'U'?n Davidson put up n fino performance in tlie '220 Yards Flat. W. A. Hill one! Although at the b-'iid tho New Zealand champion was baulked id:' -.tally by the Surrey men, and had to sladtcn. spaed, ho succeeded in outpacing Hill ir. iho straight, and won in goo<L stylo by about a yard. Tho time, 22 4-stli seconds, was v»ry r;ood, considering- tho dcadhcrs of iho track nad the check Davidson received. Dp.vidson ;■;)incd another victory this weelc at :<u evoniiifr meeting of tho Ilorlio Hill Athletic Club, when ho won a 200 yards handicap. He had to give away 35 yards, and had the outside running, and then won by a. yard.
