Strong northerly winds have given p'sco ,o southerlies- and easterlie-s in and southward of Cook Strait. Unsettled, cloudy, and misty weather has prevailed, and rain, has fallen generally.
Present indications are for strong- westerly to nortlierly winds northwards of New Plymouth and Xapier, and north-easterlica elan, whore. Unsettled cloudy and misty condi- | tior.s and further general rain' may be ospsctcd, heavy rain'in many parts, with, rivers rising-, and snow on. some of tlie high country in the South Island, the barometer falling, but rising' soon.
