A party of .Sinn Fciners attacked a military lorry in a Dublin street and ordered twelve soldiers to hold up their arms. Somo obeyed, but the others opened fire upon the raiders, wounding two. Tho Sinn Fciners returned the fire, and a sharp fusillade ensued until tho Sinn Feir.ers were routed, and fled, leaving their weapons and three prisoners. Several soldiers were seriously wounded and two died. One Sinn Feiner is dead and another is dying.

LONDON, September 20. The €>imi Fein menace in Scotland is developing. The mining districts aro reported to be honeycombed with republican organisations, which are formulating plans to seize tho Lanarkshire pits.
