The Storm arrived at Lyttelton yeeterday naming from Wanganui, and after an exihange of cargoes called last night for Dundin and Timaru. t . The'Ste'la, which arrived hero on Sunday ifternoon from Dunedin, sailed laat night vith general cargo for Wellington. The Karn was an early arrival here yeserday morning from Wellington. She will -ail to<3ay for Wanganui, and from there will go to Tarakoho to load cement. An endeavour will bo made to despatch the Northumberland to-morrow night for Gisborne, where she will continue loading 1 for Boston and Now York. She will oompleto loading at Niapier, and will molke Wellington her final sailing port. The nral C. and D. steamer to call at Lyttelton will be the Port Napier, which arrived at Auciland on Saturday. She brings general cargo and oil from New York, and ie due here about the ond of tho month. Having been further delayed at Wellington, tho Ayrshire is now due here to-mor-row. • Tho intercolonial steamer • Moana is due at Wellington to-day from' Sydney. She is expected here on Thursday morning, and will sail the same evening on the return trip. The colliers Gmga Maru and Ngatoro, both from Newcastle, are due here to-mar-row. The Kiltawa, from Greymouth, is expected to arrive on Thursday. The Kahika, which arrived here on Sunday. brought 1390 tone of- coal and 27,000 feet of timber. SYDNEY, September 7. A strange craft, tho non-magnetio yacht Carnegie, described as one of tho most wonderful vessels afloat, arrived in Fremantle last week. Tho vessel is owned by the Terrestrial Magnesium Department of tlte Carnegie Institute, of Washington.
