HEAVY LOSSES OF SUGAR.
BIG REWARD' FOR DETECTION OF THEFTS. (PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) AUCKLAND, September 20. A reward of £500 is being offered by the Colonial Sugar Company to anyone ■who -will furnish information leading to the detection of any person guilty of taking sugar from tbe Chelsea refinery, or from any vessels carrying sugar rvom the works for transhipment to other centres. . , ~ This reward is offered owing to tn© heavy losses of sugar by theft during the past year, amounting in value to several thousands of pounds.
