STORING LIQUOR IN CLUBS.
« MASTERTON CONVICTION QUASHED. irECSi ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.I WELLINGTON, September 20. The Full Court delivered judgment to- q day in the case of "Watford v. Miller, a ~ case concerning the Master ton Club. The Court held that the conviction of tho custodian of the club for storing liquor in a no-license district, must be t set aside, considering that neither he ii nor tho club had stored the liquor for & ■members, who must be regarded as hav- c ing stored the liquor for themselves, under rights which they possessed as * members of tho club; nor had tho club *: permitted liquor to be so stored. Mr * Justice Edwards, Mr Justice Chapman, c Mr Justice Sim, and Mr Justice Herd- n man agreed with this view. The Chief 0 Justice (Sir Robert Stout) dissented.
