LYTTELTON NEWS.
— ♦ SEA SCOUTS. Letters received from various members of the Lyttelton Sea Scouts, who are encamped at Hakatero, near Ashburton, state that the boys are thoroughly enjoying themselves. Competitions wero held last week with* the Ashburton Scouts, including a flag- raid. The Scouts, who are in charge of Scoutmaster S. Booth, are being instructed in map-drawing, observation work, and methods c£ communication. On Sunday a church service was held at the camp, and yesterday the boys wero to march to Longbeach, fordinff the Ashburton River. One Scout, who was taken ill, was sen. to his home, but other-» wise the troop aro in excellent health.
