NORTH CANTERBURY S*TO OXFORD. JOCKEY CLUB. ' ANOTTAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the North Caater> i bnry and Oxford Jockey Club was held at Rangiora last evening, Mr H. C. D. van Asch presiding. The annual report, as presented by the committee,- congratulated the club on> its continued success. The past season was a record' one in the: history of the club. The revenue from the totalisator amounted to £1898 15s 9a, as against £1244 9s 6d for the previous year, and there was a considerable increase in revenue from other sources. The incoming committee would commence the new season with'a credit balance of £1123 18s 7d. Plans were in hand for-removing and enlarging the horse boxes, enlarging the saddling* .paddock, increasing the lawn area, installing a water supply, and duplicating the admission gates. The membership was 186. The balance-sheet showed receipts £3240 S3 Bd, the principal items being:—Totalisator revenue £1898 15s 9d, gate £492 5s lid, nominations and acceptances'£427 10s, sheep grazing account £100 2s Bd.' subscriptions £99 la, sale of race books £82 6s.
