It is announced from London that tlie action, Richard and Frank "Wootton r. J. B. Joel, has been settled, the Woottons receiving a percentage on the stakos won by horses ridden by Frank TVootton in 1913 to tlie full amount of the claim, each paying their own costs. Y.R.C. Heavy rain fell at T'rentharn on Friday night, and continued well on into Saturday morning, the going consequently was very holding but notwithstanding this a lot of interesting work was done, tno near approach of the meeting compelling owners to keep their charges going. 80-Peep was galloping ■stronger than. FalstafE was doing bettes than Mannish at the end of a mile, which took lrnin 50sec. Similar tasks were allotted Master Webster, Stream of Gold. Arch Salute, and Walton. Dainty Step was about three lengths in front of Spangle at the end of a mile, the last seven furlongs taking lmin SSseo. RICC&RTON TRAINING NOTES. ~ ' Saturday. Owing to steady rain .the only track available was tho sand. None of the best class galfopers was out, but jumpers with near engagements were worked. Master Strowan and Coalition were separately given two circuits at from half to three-quarter pace work. Coalition showed signs of lameness while trotting- in the centre before being stripped. He did not move freely, but pulled up sound. All Talk and Waimai cantered round to the half-mile post, and raced home from there. All Talk was an easy winner. Loyal Arch and Kilrush ran six furlongs on the bit, and finished well. King Star (F. Douglas), who was in receipt of a lot of weight from Grim Joke (A. Wormald) was going better than the latter a the end of a smart schooling gallop over four flights of the big hurdleo. Tho Rand (L. Hagerty) and a chestnut hunter (F. Murfitt) set cut to do a round over tli3 country. Tho chestnut, who was very keen, turned a ecmersault at the second fence. Murfitt end tlvs geldinjf were not hurt. The Rand jumped well.
