CHRISTCHURCH WAR MEMORIAL.

The week's campaign to raise funds for the Chris tchurch. "War Memorial begins next Monday. There is no doubt in anybody's mind that a memorial of some kind to the heroism of our soldiers is a solemn obligation on the community, and now that the wishes of practically everybody have been met by the decision that the memorial shall consist of both a Bridge of Remembrance and a Column, no one has the shadow of an excuse for neglecting to subscribe to the fund that will provide both. The committee is urgently in need of workers as well as subscribers, and the following contributions are gratefully acknowledged:— £ s. d.
