The New Brighton Trotting Club'a Autumn Meeting was concluded on Saturday in fine i weather, though a keen easterly breeze made itself felt before the dose of the afternoon. There was a, capital attendance, and the epori was of a very high standard. The totalizator investments were £39,031 10s, making a total of £62,447 10s for the Meeting, as compared with £50,452 10s last year. The New Zealand Derby Stakes, which was the principal attraction, waa wcm in good style by th© favourite, Doraldina, though at the finish she had not a great deal to spare from Saint's Bell, who was the outsider of the field. After the Tace the rice-president of the club, Mr W. J. M. Hopkina, congratulated Mr J. Westerman, who bred Doraldina and leased her to the well-known horseman, F. E. Jones, who trained and drove her. Doraldina wa-3 then decorated with the blue ribbon by Miss Hopkins.
