Looking- back to the lint, show ho hod attendod in Lincoln, he noticed a very cnmploto advanoo in tbo munber and quality of tho ojchibita, and tbo judge* hod onroTPd him (hat such was tho cva. The purpoes of tbo show waa tho improvement of the school grounds and tire benefit of .the school children, but tho show had also *tx oducoUvo value. It created a little main, which encouraged ithe growing of better flower* and fruit. Ho <lid not think iba ladies required encouragement to turn out better cakes. Mr Hardy's in locol affairs had included the presentation of a cup for competition at the ehow. The cup hod been won oner, and if it proved the cose that it was won outright this year, tho speaker would bo very pleased to offor another cup for competition in coccfsJon with the show. <Ap- | plauso.)
